Biography

Cláudio de Pina begun studying organ, trumpet and guitar at the age of 7. After a few years he enrolls in Gregorian Chant Institute in Lisbon, a prestiged musical school. In the next 8 years he studies Gregorian Chant, Greek Modality, Composition, Analysis, Acoustics, Latin, Chamber Choir, Singing and Musical Formation. He also enrolls in Physics Engineering in Science Faculty of Lisbon. With 22 years old he enrolls in Hot Jazz Club, specialising in Piano, Fusion and Electric Jazz and Contemporary Jazz Composition. With 26 years he studies with Jorge Lee, furthering his interests in Modern Jazz. He also starts private tutoring in composition with famous portuguese composer Eurico Carrapatoso. He studied in several workshops and masterclasses, regarding his main insterests: Electroacoustic, Acousmatic, Spacialization, Sound Design and Interpretation of Electroacoustic Music, Composition, Acoustics, Early Music and Early Fonts and Signs. Titular resident organist of the historical pipe organ, constructed by António Xavier Machado e Cerverira.
Promotes several activities regarding Early Music, Pipe Organ, Contemporary Composition, Studio Production, Sound Design and Synthesizers.
Currently a student in Doctorate of Musical Arts in ESML/FCSH, researching about Electroacoustic and contemporary Pipe Organ performance.
Research collaborator in Group of Contemporary Music, GIMC/CESEM.

Edited several albums has a keyboard player and producer, in diverse musical genres, internationally distributed. Has a composer of electroacoustic and mixed music has been presented and premiered nationally and internationally. Has a musical producer and composer he works in the field of documentaries, short films, theatre, dance, videogames and installations.
